Zirconium dioxide (zirconia) is a revolutionary ceramic material nicknamed 'ceramic steel'. In dental prosthetics, it has rapidly overtaken old porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crowns due to its extreme biocompatibility, extraordinary flexural strength (exceeding 1200 MPa), and absence of any black metallic substructure.
At Dental Specialities in Sarvodaya Enclave, our zirconia crowns are digitally designed using CAD/CAM software and milled from premium multi-layered pre-shaded blocks (such as Kuraray Katana and BruxZir). These blocks replicate the natural color gradient of human teeth—slightly deeper chromatic saturation at the cervical gumline transitioning to lifelike translucency at the incisal edge.
Because zirconia is bio-inert, your gum tissue loves it. Gums stay healthy, pink, and tight against the crown margin without ever developing the dreaded black metallic line that plagues old metal-backed crowns.
strong Flexural Strength
Rated at 1000–1200+ MPa, virtually unbreakable even for heavy grinders and back chewing molars.
Zero Black Gumlines
Metal-free; light passes naturally through the restoration, ensuring gums are supported by careful restorative planning.
Exceptional Biocompatibility
Completely bio-inert, gentle on opposing enamel, and causes zero allergic or galvanism reactions.
Digital CAD/CAM Precision Fit
Milled with 5-axis robotic precision to microscopic tolerances, virtually eliminating margin leaks.
Multi-Layered Natural Translucency
Mimics the natural enamel light reflection, warmth, and depth of adjacent organic teeth.
